Rachel Klein recently earned an Ed.M. in the Education Policy and Management Program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is currently working as an education consultant at District Management Group, a firm based in Boston that works with school district leaders and teachers to enhance and improve policies and protocols so that educators can best use their talents to improve student outcomes.
Before moving to Cambridge, Klein spent two years working for the New York City mayoral initiative, Pre-K for All. As a manager on the expansion team, Klein collaborated with superintendents and principals across all five boroughs of the city to plan for pre-K in their districts and support the implementation of pre-K policy. Prior to her job at the New York City Department of Education, Klein taught first grade for three years, first in East San Jose, California as part of her Teach for America experience and then at a bilingual private school on the upper west side of Manhattan. She holds a B.A. in urban studies with a concentration in education from the University of Pennsylvania.
